When I heard about the plane making a crash landing in the Hudson River, I was reminded of taking off from Laguardia Airport in 2007. We too, were heading south, but the plane took off to the north and circled around where we could see Central Park and then headed south. It was a beautiful sight. I can't imagine what those people went through when they were told to prepare for a crash. I'm so thankful that the pilot was able to bring them down without any fatalities.
